Corvette Is King, and this particular model is no exception. ’61 Corvettes were technically still part of the first generation of “C1” or solid-axle Corvettes. It was, however, significantly changed from its predecessors. The grille “teeth” were eliminated and a completely different new rear end treatment appeared; 4 round taillights, a feature that carries over to this day. These model Corvettes were also the last to carry exposed headlights until the 2005 model.
